Ruairi Kavanagh

Ruairi has spent the past five years working and studying wine, as both a passion and a profession. After working in wineries and wine bars across his native New Zealand, he gained his Postgraduate Diploma in Wine Science at the University of Auckland, where he learnt wine judging from the NZ wine judge Dr. Rebecca Deed. After working the 2021 harvest as part of the oenological team at La Tour Melas in Greece, he is now the sommelier at Tap & Bottle Wine bar in London and an independent correspondent for wine-searcher.com.
