As a passionate wine expert and sommelier, Markus transitioned into the wine industry, driven by a deep fascination for the world of wine. After earning his sommelier certification at IHK Munich in 2018, he gained hands-on experience working in a wine bar as a side job in 2019. In 2021, Markus launched a South African pop-up wine bar and began organizing wine events in Munich, bringing unique wine experiences to enthusiasts. Since 2022, he has been hosting wine and food pairing seminars in collaboration with leading gastronomes, creating engaging and educational experiences that highlight the synergy between fine wines and exceptional cuisine.
