Péter Tüű

Certified Sommelier

Péter Tüű is a 2-Time Hungarian Sommelier Champion (2019 and 2017) and he received the Champagne Master-Level Certificate from the Wine Scholar Guild in 2021 with Highest Honors. He became a Certified Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2012 and he also has the Intermediate Level with Distinction by WSET. Péter has been working in the Hungarian fine-dining scene for more than a decade now after having worked for more than 3 years in Switzerland, among others in the 1-Michelin-star Restaurant Adler in Hurden. During his tenure at Arany Kaviár Restaurant in Budapest, he compiled the wine list that won Best Wine List of the Year in 2019 at Hungary's biggest Gastronomy Award gala, Dining Guide Top100, with special emphasis on the comprehensive, unparalleled Champagne list. Besides his current main job as Sommelier / Wine Educator / Wine Consultant at Winehub, one of the most dynamically growing Hungarian wine distribution companies, Péter does trainings for the staff of restaurants, wine / champagne bars. He also teach wine, champagne and sparkling wine as well as food and wine pairing on WSET2 and WSET3 Level and do consulting work for wineries in several Hungarian wine-regions.
