The 4th edition of Winelovers Wine Awards will be held in a new location, the organizers are expecting more than a thousand wine entries in 12 different categories.

Some of the wine world’s greatest experts, a Master of Wine, a Master Sommelier and WSET Diploma holders, as well as winemakers, wine merchants and renowned sommeliers, will gather again this year to find the best wines from Central and Eastern Europe in the Winelovers international competition. 
In just a few years, Winelovers Wine Awards in Hungary is well on its way to becoming the most significant wine competition in the Central and Eastern European region.
 

Judges from around the world gathered in Budapest to evaluate wines at the third annual Winelovers Wine Awards. This year, 868 wines were entered, establishing the competition as a ​prestigious event in terms of the number of entries.

Teresa Gomes, one of our renowned jury members provides independent and personalized wine services as a Sommelier & Wine Educator to companies and individuals. Since 2004, she has inspired almost 17 thousand people to enjoy Portuguese Wine, making it accessible and exciting for the beginner to the connoisseur. Now, we have asked her about Hungarian and other Central Eastern European wines in Portugal. Here is what she said:

 

Heidi lives and works in Oslo. She manages wine education at The Culinary Academy of Norway and teaches both the sommelier education, all levels of WSET as well as Capstone California. She started as a cook, completed her sommelier education in 2009 and worked as a sommelier for five years before her current job.

The third edition of the Winelovers Wine Awards will this time take place in the imposing rooms of the Corinthia Hotel Budapest. The organisers are expecting over a thousand entries from countries in the region.
